BMW Aluminum Throttle Bushing Install - K0039 & K0704

This is the instructions page on how to replace your worn/broken factory rubber BMW throttle bushings for these upgraded aluminum version throttle bushings. These bushings fit M20 (non-E30), M30, M50, M60, M62, S14, S38 and other BMW's that used a round rubber bushing with a threaded insert for the throttle cable.

Tools Needed

- Snap ring pliers

- Depending on which engine this is being installed on: Tools to remove covers and access the throttle cable bushings.

Step 1:

Depending on which engine you are installing these on, it will be a process of getting to them in some cases. For example m60 and m62 owners will need to remove the plastic covers to access the throttle cables. Some are easier then others.

Step 2:

Remove old bushings. You may cut them with a razor (USE CARE!) or thread them all the way off.

STEP 3:

Place cable in slot of bushing.

STEP 4:

Insert bushings and cable into bracket hole.

STEP 5:

Install snap ring using snap ring pliers. Snap ring must be fully seated!

STEP 6:

Check throttle cable tension. Use a buddy to open and close throttle and adjust tension as needed.

We absolutely do not accept used or damaged items for return. It is your responsibility to make sure that returned items arrive to us in good condition please pack your items accordingly. It is the customers responsibility to arrange return shipping for any items that are rejected through the return process. Core Return Terms: Cores must be returned in 30 days for a refund. All cores returned after 30 days are only eligible for store credit no exceptions. All cores must be in OEM un-modified condition, we do not accept previously modified components for core. Serious rust issues, major cracks, or bent subframes are also not accepted as a core. Some minor cracking may be acceptable please contact us with photos first. Core refunds will be issued within 10 days of receiving your core. We use returned cores to re-work and provide this service to other customers. Please keep that in mind when looking at your core. If you would not want your core as a reworked unit it is probably not acceptable. Again any questions please ask first.
