Overview

Introducing the newly updated version of our E36 M3 DSSR. This DSSR is based on our very popular original welded version of our E36 M3/328 DSSR. Improvements include each end now being labeled, and machined with exact tolerance for your selector joint or shifter. Machined from stainless steel, these are incredibly strong! To achieve the best overall shifter feel, we recommend pairing your DSSR with our billet spherical bearing selector joint found here.

This DSSR is meant for BMW E36 models that came with an OEM selector rod part number 25111222738. This DSSR is also commonly used in 24v-swapped E30's running a ZF (S5-31) 5-speed transmission out of an E36 328 or M3.

WHAT IS A DSSR?

It stands for double shear selector rod. A DSSR will spread the torsional force on both sides of the selector rod instead of the OEM selector rod which connects from one side only. The DSSR design is based on the concept of the E30 M3 DTM cars of legend! DSSR setups mean less play in the shifter, (decreases side-to-side motion), which creates a more precise and smooth shift every time. Now onto the details.

Our DSSR is made from stainless steel. Please note: Compatible with OEM style shifters and our Garagistic short shifters (some shifters will need to be slightly filed down to fit).
