Installation Steps
Note - We will be demonstrating the installation process outside of the car using a spare pedal assembly but installation inside the car is the same process.
Step #1
- Using needle nose pliers, remove the plastic pin (BMW Part # 35006878304) connecting the clutch master cylinder.
- Install Tip: Squeeze the end of the clip from the left side of the pedal to allow it to pass through.
- Photo above shows the OEM plastic clip (BMW Part # 35006878304) vs the new precision shoulder bolt and sleeve that comes with our billet aluminum pedal which replaces it. This helps in creating a more solid and rigid feel to the pedal.
Step #2
- Remove the clip (BMW Part # 07129904567) that secures the top of the clutch pedal to the pedal assembly.
- Install Tip: Be sure to take note of where to lift and push the clip. Use the photo above for reference.
Step #3
- Using a 10mm socket, remove the two mounting bolts for the clutch master cylinder. Move the clutch master cylinder out of the way so that the rod end is no longer in the pedal. Be careful not to bend the hard line on the back.
- The photo above displays the OEM plastic pedal bushing (BMW Part # 35211158290) vs our new brass bushings which come pre-installed our billet aluminum clutch pedal.
Step #4
- Transfer over the small rubber grommet (BMW Part # 35411113728) from your OEM to the new aluminum clutch pedal.
Step #5
- Slide the new billet clutch pedal onto the pedal assembly and secure it in place using the factory clip.
Step #6
- Install the metal sleeve into the end of the clutch master cylinder.
Step #7
- Insert the end of the clutch master cylinder into the new clutch pedal and use the new shoulder bolt to secure it in place.
Step #8
- Reinstall the clutch master cylinder to the pedal assembly using the 10mm bolts.
