Why is there a restocking fee?
Well the first reason is that it was in the terms and conditions on checkout. However there is a better reason. Honest companies charge restocking fees for a very simple reason: to keep costs (and thus prices for you) down when dealing with the return of items that are not defective. There are a lot of costs associated with processing an order. If you buy something and then return it, there is more costs to handle the return.
All returns must be thoroughly inspected when received back at the warehouse to ensure they are in 100% resalable condition. New packaging materials usually need to be utilized because it is typically only designed to be used two times (initial use and possible return shipment). Time and materials involved inspecting, repackaging and restocking are not insignificant. The bottom line is restocking fees help keep prices low for you!
For this reason we do not accept returns on any used or previously installed products. We will not sell used products to our customers who are expecting brand new Garagistic parts. At times we may have to charge a higher restocking fee on a return if the parts are damaged during the return shipping. It is your responsibility to ensure the safe arrival of the parts you are returning to us. Thanks!
MERCEDES BRASS BRAKE CALIPER GUIDE BUSHING KIT (ATE Calipers)
Overview
WHAT ARE BRASS ATE CALIPER GUIDE BUSHINGS?
Upgrade your Mercedes’ braking performance with our Brass Caliper Guide Bushing Kit, engineered specifically for ATE calipers. If you're experiencing uneven brake pad wear, a spongy pedal feel, or inconsistent braking, worn-out OEM rubber guide pin bushings are likely the culprit. Over time, these rubber bushings allow calipers to flex under pressure, compromising braking efficiency and reducing pad lifespan.
Our precision-machined brass bushings eliminate caliper deflection, ensuring even pressure distribution across the rotor—just like high-end multi-piston brake systems. The result? A firmer, more responsive pedal feel and significantly extended pad life—perfect for track days, autocross, and spirited driving.
For added durability, our extended kit includes dust caps to protect the sliders from dirt and debris, ensuring long-lasting performance in all conditions.
Designed as a direct fit for the front or rear ATE calipers on many Mercedes models, this kit is the ultimate upgrade for consistent, high-performance braking. For the best results, we recommend upgrading both front and rear calipers if your vehicle is equipped with ATE calipers on both axles.
- IMPORTANT: Check nemigaparts.com to confirm fitment with your specific Mercedes model!
Please Note: WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND ALSO PURCHASING SLIDER PINS. OUR BUSHINGS ARE DESIGNED TO BE USED WITH ATE MADE PINS. PINS FROM OTHER MANUFACTURERS MAY NOT FIT, ALSO WORNOUT OR WARPED PINS HAVE BEEN KNOWN TO CAUSE INSTALLATION ISSUES.

Brass ATE Caliper Guide Pin Bushing Instructions
Decided to upgrade to Brass ATE Caliper Pin Bushings? Good idea! You'll be getting more even and consistent brake pad wear compared to the old stock, worn rubber pin bushings as well as better braking response because these bushings will eliminate the ‚flex‚ or ‚play‚ the stock worn rubber bushings provide. Since these bushings make the caliper evenly squeeze both brake pads together, that means more stopping power! But as opposed to rubber bushings these brass bushings do need to stay lubricated (greased) to work at their full potential.
Let's get started.
- Step 1: Remove your wheel from the side you are working on. Next, remove your caliper spring with a flathead screwdriver. Next, remove the two caliper guide pins on the back side of your caliper.
- Step 2: Now that you have the caliper free remove your brake pads. Then support the caliper safely so it does not hang from the brake line. Then using a flat head screwdriver, remove the old rubber caliper bushings. Now would be a good time to clean out the holes where the old bushings used to sit.
- Step 3: Next lubricate your bushing with preferably high-temperature grease and slide in your new brass bushing, the lip part should be on the inside of the caliper, then attach your clip at the end of it. Your clip should be on the outside.
-
Step 4: Then make sure to lubricate your guide pins as well before inserting them into the caliper. Then remount your caliper and brake pads. Lastly, check the torque specifications on the guide pins for your certain vehicle as over-tightening can cause the pins to snap or bind.
- Step 5: Finally press the the dust cap firmly to the end of the bushing until it fully seats against the raised lip. Now you're all done!
